Please join Q Center and PCASC (Portland Central America Solidarity Committee) to celebrate Pride Month with the Portland premiere of En Mis Tacones (In My High Heels)! a short documentary illuminating the struggle of LGBTQ folks in Honduras. This community deals with repression and targeted violence, in a country that is already the most dangerous peace-time country in the world. Their story is really important to tell.

Screening to be followed by live Skype discussion with the film's director, direct from Honduras, and group discussion.

Special community guests!

Special thanks to our co-sponsons thus far:

Read Allen's appeal, "Why Central America? Why Now?"

"Keeping campesinos and indigenous peoples poor allows a few rich people to maintain their wealth and power. So does accepting US military aid to expand the war on drugs. This is the situation in Central America. Starting with this reality and taking direction from our compañeros in Central America, we will add our individual skills to our shared fight for justice."
